Poetry / Last Minute Poetry
Aren’t we all (all of us)
such special individuals
with such tender (heartwarming) stories
and (such) gentle sides to our natures
Isn’t the most human response
that of gathering each other up
into warm-armed embraces?
To collect the best of ourselves
To harvest that
and (To) throw away the rest
If I were to take your child
and love you both,
couldn’t I in some way
heal the hurt
and help you to be whole
And if you surround my child
with your strong arms
and love both her and me
Oh, what an outcome would result
when in our autumn
we would yield
the wholeness of our beings.
