If I could find the words to say, how it feels to watch you play
To see you hold each other’s hands, and see you as each other’s friend
To teach all it is I know, and hope and pray that you will grow
Toward happy people who will see, all it is you want to be
I hope you learn to love and cherish, every day and watch them flourish
You will see life lets you down, but in the end you will astound
Yourself and every one you know, for you are truly full of glow
And when you find yourself afraid, know together we will be brave
The love that bonds us all together, will see us through hard times forever
And when you’ve grown and have your own, remember all the times you’ve known
That we are family as strong as can be, and together forever you will see
Through ups and downs will come and go, I promise you, you’ll always know
What it feels to be true, to each other and to you
My children you are so very sweet, and time has only made me see
That this life I have been granted, will never be a life that’s slanted
With all my heart you’ll always be, the most preciously loved part of me.
