Lyrics / Battle in the Valley
Verse 1:
The clouds were black, Day turned to night
The rumbling of the thunder, the valley was a sight
I knew a battle was near…
The two armies, began to rise up
They stood fact to face, the good and the corrupt
The time has come, the time has come…
Chorus:
There’s a battle in the valley so turn and fight,
Before you loose your own life…
Verse 2:
The armies marched forward, weapons held high
The air filled, with battle cries
The end has come…
The clashing of the armies, filled the skies
Souls being lost, to Satan’s lies
God help us, God help us… (chorus)
Verse 3:
Satan surrounded, the armies of light
He mocked and he laughed, at the sight
Satan’s hold is strong…
But then Christ rose up, and he broke the spell
He turned to Satan, sent him straight to hell
Christ has won, Christ has won…(chorus)

While I have a problem with labeling music “Christian,” this is better than most radio-ready praise and worship tunes. You have nearly poetic descritpive qualities that really help out. It is an interesting read and I think this would work well with music, I do feel it started out better than it ended. To rephrase that, the 3 stanza kind of lugged a bit. Also, I thought the word “armies” was needlessly repeated throughout the piece. You might be able to make it a little more interesting by changing the noun. All in all, a nice song and I think you have a fine skill. Nice work.
sounds like you know your bible ,, pretty good . fight the good fight of faith.
keep your quill beside your sword, never part from either one.
keep your faith where it belongs , someday you’ll see the son.
