Red Horizon

she sits beside her drawn curtain at her window
trying to light her darkness from within
she’s lost her way along life’s lonely path
not knowing if she can begin again

each rock she makes is ever so gentle
feeling the heavy weight of life upon her chair
knowing it will take just one more hard rock
to finally make her fall and disappear

for she has seen her life’s blood drip slowly
in a puddle beside her solitary chair
the darkness hides the color that has escaped her
just a faint grey and black horizon painted with her fear

her shallow breath leaves her weak and tired
from the years of hard labor she has done
getting out of bed in her endless midnight
silently hoping once more to never see the sun

she cannot feel the Peace or hear the laughter
that once filled her now empty heart
for they have been long ago forgotten
suppressed memories torn violently from her heart

I feel her pain and see that she is dying
from a lack of love that sucks her dry from within
I hold out my hand and smile to her
and slowly her transfusion begins

im not sure what inspired you to write this piece but i enjoyed reading it. the imagery is beautiful and the passion that went into it is amazing. i found one word flow error its nothing big

sounds better as torn violently from her heart
