Reader’s Digest :) I used to read them… then I realized that they were probably not aimed towards 11 year olds. I soon revisited Disney Adventures.
Thank you for your review.
“How does one get inspiration?” He asked me
“I don’t know,” I replied. “I think it involves getting a muse and then losing it.”

inspiration comes from different things for everyone; like the way you put it.
I see the trouble you have. I would say this would fall more under poetry then a quote. Yet I am not sure what form. You could make it a quote but you would have to shorten it. Maybe something a long the lines of “Losing a muse results in inspiration”.
Overall I like it.
Kinda sounds like Urbis should have a joke category! Yeah not sure where this one should go, seems more like you are quoting diologue instead of an actual quote.
hi there,
well i think it’s to long to be a quote..it would make a great riddle though..and a very witty one at that…quotes are usually short and sweet,,(this might make a reader’s digest issue..)later,jim..(again, as a riddle of sorts)
It sounds like the beginning of a short story to be honest, who is He? And what does it mean to gain a muse and then lose it? How does that create inspiration? It’s food for thought but it’s just the tip of the iceberg, I would love to read more of your thoughts on this subject.
I would incorporate this into a story if your a writer of them, its not quite right alone but could have some impact and add color if used with some familar characters.

Inspiration need not come only through a muse.Even our heroes inspire us to excel. And having a muse does not involve any romance. So losing the muse does not make any dent into one’s essence.Muse is more of a perfect idea and less of an individual.
That’s a good one. The muse is there to inspire you, but you’re not realizing it’s potential until it’s gone. I’d suggest moving the third line up to the second line behind, ‘I replied’. Then drop the ‘I added’ at the end. The conversation never breaks between the two people so there’s no reason to say,
“I don’t know,” I replied. ”I think…” I added.
Just cut the ‘I added’.
Not a quote.
