Quotes / Bent
As a heterosexual I am labeled straight. As opposed to what, Bent? Twisted? Even straight lines point in both directions.

i’m sorry. i can only interpret this an innuendo to the author’s experimental tendencies. otherwise this serves no real purpose. this gets a 10/5 from me.

I love it. This is a really great quote, and very humorous. It holds a lot of truth. People put so many stupid labels on things these days.
I like that, I might have to use that one day. It is a really good quote, and makes complete sense. Kudos to you.
Well this makes a case against labels, but in the vernacular, the opposite of straight is gay, as bent and twisted have their own peculiar meanings, but I get what you are trying to say, especially with straight lines pointing in both directions. Food for thought.
hi there,
i agree with you, this is just a thought, opinion, that was overly thought of…:) but it’s clever about the 2 lines going both ways and you being called straight…but it’s something i think people wouldn’t really care less about..YOU CAN DO BETTER!!!....i think you just threw that out there, to throw something out there..i think you should use your creative talent for writing a better quote…song, poem or whatever your into writing..(i’m lazy too…:)..keep writing…later, jim
Agree. My favorite part of your quote is the very last sentence. It’s so true. A line points in two directions. Hah!
Marvelous. It is understandable, yet sophisticated. This can relate to many pupils.
in england we call gay people ‘bent’ anyway, so you’ve anticipated something there.
more interesting is that ‘droite’ in french and ‘derecha’ in spanish mean ‘right’ as in ‘right-left’ in english. and they also meen ‘law’. ‘law’ is also a kind of ‘right’ in the legal sense in English.
but what makes ‘right’ more ‘law-worthy’ than ‘left’. my theory is that because most people are right handed, it becomes associated with the ‘correct’ way to do things.
similarly, i think the symmetry in the idea of ‘straight’ makes people think of a somehow ‘more correct’ concept.
