The Archer and The Sailor By Lionel A LaVergne Part 1 “Go somewhere you’ve never been, Leo.” I looked at my best friend in the world and smiled. “That would be a lot of places, Jim. I’ve been out of the country twice, and to a handful of states.” Shaking my head I leaned back in my old rattan chair. “I’ll tell you what, I’ll make a list of places tonight, strange exotic places, countries and states, cities I know you’ve never been and would never go on your own, just promise me one thing.” “W...

CAJUNS Chapter one The LaVergne’s A tall young man stood in front of the sturdy, well built home he owned. He gazed over his property enjoying the lush grassland, the huge shade trees and the many flowering bushes that ringed the area. Several small farms were scattered around just north of Turtle. Most of the adult males earned a living by rough necking either on land or off shore on oilrigs. The farms that dot...

Interesting topic, but I seemed to have missed the point, perhaps later. Some typos but I'm sure that will be rectified in the rewrites. Biggest problem; I wasn't always certain who was saying what to whom. Description of characters was very good.

Your grammar and lack of typos indicate carefulness. I read your guideline and the part of the story you submitted and I'm still a little lost. What is the purpose of the story, what do you hope to accomplish? The couple were once in a rock band, in another universe, or where? The problem in the church with the minister is unclear. Are these characters part of a religious group? Will they eventually save the world or just themselves, and from what? You write very well, maybe I'm just missing ...
