I like the premise, although this appears to be more in the form of a letter or commentary than a poem. I would reccommend changing the format a bit, to keep it a poem.
That was amazing. I could feel the love and the hope for the future.

Wow. For 7 minutes, this was amazing. I can feel the hope and the sadness in failure of love. Nice rhyming and word choices.
I would change the beginning to 'patient in wait' instead, and would take out 'yet'. I did like the word choices and imagery, which set the tone nicely.
