the endearing sound of your sweet ramblings, the flare of your insightful smiles, laughter that pursues you, a light that shines for miles. the music from your fingertips, locutions from your soul, songs that all but define you, the way you cant let go. the strength with which you resist me, a need you have inside, the contradiction of pleasure, when lust and thought collide the way I feel when you touch me the way you know Im yours, the deepening sea of sentiment and the guards posted at the...

Fracturing acrimony Forging resentment Swelling unbalance Stab Stab Stabbing us with your words Penetrating us with your insecurities Punishing us with your devouring compulsion Push Push Pushing away from reality Knowing the damage you yield Kneeling at the alter of your ego Kill Kill Killing us with admonishment ...begging us again for forgiveness. I am to blame. This emotional hee-haw see-saw I rode until I was sick, Retching rather than relenting, Failing to stop your destruction Scarring...

Our broken lives exhale mists of discontent each breath heavy with the memory of my mistakes, regrets, growing apparitions to haunt me, guilts poisonous dagger buried in my breast to the hilt, Crying my childrens tears, tears born for the truth of this familys destruction, clouding my view of the past, frightening me with the future, all that I could've done, all that I didn't, all that I still should. Emerging from the darkness of indecision, faced with the choice between destroying you and ...

A spark, an attraction, A deepening satisfaction. A touch, a seed, The strengthening need. A glimpse, a look, At the path she once took. A sigh, a concern, At the answers you'll learn. A fear of fate, And the need to escape. A point of decision, On the path to collision. A history undone, As two lives become one.

So she gives him someone elses card. That was enough to keep me reading. I also liked the twist of him being at the funeral. You may want to explain why she decided to go a little more. I've probably read hundreds of romance novels and this certianly has the formula. This has good promise. You might add a bit more actions that suggest feelings. In romance genre, it is very important to know how the heroine is feeling and I get a lot of her thoughts but I'm not sure enough feelings (both physi...
I'm interestd enough in this story to keep reading but I have to say...it's not yet a story. Its a scetchy narration - a snapshot in time. I felt as if I was watching it from really far a way or if I was hearing the story being told second-hand. Felt a little like a screen play. I'll be interested to see where it goes.
Ok...I like it...Maybe by the next chapter, I'll be giving you a 10. If I picked this up at the bookstore, I'd keep reading. More please?
I like the message....I keeping thinking I could score this higher but I need to read more to know...hard to tell how much I like it. Just know i don't hate it. Nice job.
Wow. Good job. This poem pressed my comfort level some and I'm trying to understand if its structure or content. Either way, it evokes an emotion from me that make me want to read it again. One suggestion - wonder if In love, we "overlook" it and I'm not sure if we pass over it in literature, we lust for, we incorpate it, we normalize it....literature passes over nothing. Just a thought.
