you were standing by a vision of me kissing a vision of someone else and when i blinked you were looking at me wide eyed and eager waiting for some miracle reaction followed by the hallelujah chorus when your lips come crashing down on mine sorry to disappoint but when you reach out to touch me i'll be miles gone leaving a dusty trail settling on your boots to remind you you were waiting too long and i can't keep a tune and your lips are kissing air where i should have been.

less than [three] times you called me saying hello or goodbye; letting me know anything at all less than [three] words you whispered into my ear never; pretending to feel something underneath less than [three] places i can go where you aren't always; reminding a heart: forever be.

slip out of your dirty baggage remove your taped halo let the horns of your existence shine through your faked smiles slide into the warmth of your crystal waters let the clouds of hope and cleansing surround you inhale the freshness of this place hidden from all those who seek to devour rest in safety here scream obsenities into the air release the hidden tensions and let your pitchfork pierce your misery presence now that you have escaped your reality hide yourself under your taped halo let...

This is a warming reflection. It holds so much intimacy and attitude toward your Daddy. I noticed others felt it didn't contain rhythm and other poetic vices, but I know that not all poetry has to involve rhyme and perfectly played wording. Reflections is moving and encouraging making me want to look into my own memories to acknowledge the beauty in my family, friends, and faith. Beautifully done.
this is easy to understand and obvious in meaning, but i would have liked more detail. what machine? why worthless? is there a deeper meaning or underlying double entendre?
in this, my favorite part of your lyrics is the bridge. i feel that it's rock & roll in genre. i'd like to see a different version of verse three. it seemed a little melodramatic and i feel more could have been done to draw into the other verses. it feels too seperate.
i enjoyed the version one of this piece. i felt that the use of poison of a viper overshadowed the way this poem began. however the use of fish on a hook was just enough to plant imagery then move it forward without taking from the meaning.
i love the movement of this piece. the need for time to be well spent and to live up to the short amount of time we do have here. i appreciated the use of sound and movement in the second stanza, and i feel the fourth stanza ties th is piece together. nice work.
