Amazing! i love it. this qoute is very similar in intendment to "know thy self" but extends that by implying purpose. (to know your place in this world you must frist know who you are - completely). furthermore, the term "claim" is empowering. not only stating that you will "know" your place but that you will "CLAIM" your place. this, to me, is very powerful, putting the responsibility of achievement (or failure) squarely in your own lap. this greatly reflects the laws of nature and human con...
this is rather depressing... i see the truth in it. i mean, who can argue the forty degrees? but i think you are missing the connotation of the metaphore. in my opinion, to fallow the rainbow means to fallow your dreams, even though they may seem unattainable. everyone knows that there is no "end" of the rainbow, however, there is a "pot of gold". the true treasure is in the journey. while striving for something that you believe in you may find many "pots of gold" along the way. i especially ...

AMEN! this is great for all those "preachers" out there (myself included). this is a great saying to help keep us light hearted, compassionate, and sometimes silent around the ones we love. who was it that said, "i only know that i know nothing..."? (or something like that)
*A Demand for Low Availability* i like this one. it's so true. i enjoy how it is stated in the "positive". you could have said, "the more you are available, the less you are in demand" or "if you have time on your hands, then no one wants you." hehehehe...

first of all, this is great! second, i would end it after the first sentence. "There is no reality, only acceptance of inevitable misery." to me, i see many messeges in this qoute. first, there is "no reality", all things are an illusion. second, misery is invitable and a part of our "reality". third, through the understanding or our "non-reality" we can find acceptance in our misery. and finally, through "acceptance of [our] inevitable misery" we find happiness... by leaving off the last lin...

wow, there really isn't much to say about this one. it's simple, smooth and elegantly stated. it rolls off the tongue and is balanced in rhythm and tone. great qoute, excellent thought!
this is great! at first i thought it was just another angry song that leaves you feeling worse than before you heard it (when set to music of course). but it changes. the most redeeming quility of this is that it changes. it starts out so destitute but guides you on a journey to bring you up at the end. to me it is a hopeful song and i like that a lot. it is too easy to stay in a depressive state and to want others to falldown with you. it is much harder and more rewarding to think of solutio...

Could i ask "brokenhand" what he/she means by, "there is a speaker but no listener". And i'm hearing a lot of criticism but seeing no suggestions nor solutions... exactly what rating were you looking for here? to me this poem is about expression. anyone who's had a friend (or foe) treat them this way can understand what is being expressed here. personally, i can relate to the chaotic expression of what can easily be called chaotic emotions. very well done "neener".

wonderful imagery. your discriptions and sundry verbage carry my imagination though every moment in this piece. my thoughts meandering between a world of excited and beautiful imagery and, exhuasted through disinterred emotional relevance to our current and calamitous situations. it was hard for me, at first, to find the right pace of your work. perhaps some continuity is in order for your next revision? i'm thankful for your added blurb at the end, it lent relevency and context to the piece ...
