This is an overdone subject...Every newspaper and teacher has made this subject something to do come Febuary every year, but it does show a good mind for detail. (also, i, too, try every year to loose weight...then i think come march that it's okay to be this big! hahaha)

the last line needs to go with the flow better.

GO into more detail, as i believe by your own admission that you are capable of remembering...also add more examples! The closure needs to be stronger. overall, the idea has merit!

eleborate on the basic story(with more consise language between all the good details you have already written so the story is clearer...i think most of what you say is worded beautifully, but i lost the story for a paragraph with all the details unrelated to the story.
