the sound of a cracking window; the smash of a dropped glass; a stack of plates swaying to and fro, come crashing down in a mass of broken pieces on the floor. glass shattering and everything crashing; pieces scattered across the floor. on my knees, searching, thrashing but only scattering the pieces more as i try to reassemble all the pieces of my heart.

what once was like red-hot glowing is now that of a December snowing hopefully not to the dead of night meaning i have lost the light to see the wonder before my eyes and now it disappears and dies. i hope that this is only acting because of this world's stress impacting. no further past the gray of snowing back to that red-hot glowing.
