hi :)
I’m really new to Urbis. I regularly post on fictionpress.com but decided to get my work to a wider audience.
I’ve already written a series of 8 short stories with six spin-offs that I’ll be posting here as soon as possible. I’ll hopefully post some of my other work too, as I write poetry quite a bit sometimes.
My favourite bands are: Nirvana, My Chemical Romance, The Used, Linkin Park, Funeral For A Friend, From First To Last, Blink 182, HIM, The Rasmus, Rooster, Strike Over Ten, Sugarcult, Yellowcard, Brand New, Drive By, Reggie And The Full Effect, Greenday etc.
My favourite movies/books are: Donnie Darko, Lord of The Rings (movies and books), Harry Potter, Catcher In The Rye, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (b…

I’m not going to leave you in a “Did he or didn’t he?” situation. He did. You’re wondering why, right? Even to this day, I can’t explain it, not properly. There were a lot of factors behind it - mostly revenge and curiosity. Let me explain. The whole revenge thing was petty and stupid but in a way I wanted my father to feel the same pain I had felt with him. He would be put through what I was put through - watching someone you love intentionally harm themselves. It was stupid of me, I know th...

Sometimes, when you lose someone, life kinda blurs on you. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know. But it seemed that my life was one big unfinished painting and all the colours were running into each other to make this unrecognisable mess that didn’t hurt, didn’t bug me…it just didn’t do anything. I woke up every morning. I showered and got dressed. I ignored the bags under my eyes and the weight I was loosing. I wouldn’t eat breakfast. Instead, I would go straight to the studio and hide away with...

*This chapter is from the Point of View of Angel* Even on the path of redemption, people stumble. The morning after my experience with Matt (and what an experience it was) I woke up feeling utterly pleased and utterly guilty. Again, I worried about the possibilities of SPD but even that didn’t last. I was amazed at my own willpower. Leaving Matt the night before was about as easy as advanced calculus, but managing to stay away was even harder. If, at times when my attention wandered (and it d...

*This chapter returns to the Point of View of Matt* "When I’m the one who surrounds you, I stumble then I fall…" Quite frankly, I was surprised myself how accurately Puddle Of Mudd managed to sum up my situation. Actually, I was surprised how accurately Puddle of Mudd could sum up any situation. I was a 90’s grunger at heart - nu-grunge was not worth my time. Except Silverchair, whom I liked. Sometimes, stumbling and falling aren’t bad things. In fact, Angel’s stumble, Angel’s fall was the co...

Tuesday couldn’t come a minute sooner. I practically ran round to the Pennyroyal Studios and was hammering on the door for about ten minutes before anyone answered. Matt came to the door wearing nothing but pyjama pants - flannel pyjama pants. If I wasn’t so hyped up on caffeine I swear I would have laughed. I gave him a quick hug, sat down on the sofa and then laughed. “When the hell did you start wearing flannel pyjamas?” I asked, through tears of laughter. He flopped down beside me. “When ...

This piece was really interesting and I feel the opening was very strong. The section "my story is about love but it isn't a love story" was really intriguing and made me want to read on. Well done.
I really liked this. The opening paragraph bought a bit of humour to the piece, and using text messages put a modern touch on it. There are layout problems though, I noticed that the font gets smaller in a section, but that probably is urbis' fault. Well done on a great piece though.
