Dear Susanna:   I have already submitted the opening chapter of a darkly comic work called Don’t Get Mad Get Steven for your attention, along with some details about myself.   As Urbis allows more than one manuscript to be offered and you have an interest in work for younger adults and children, I hope you won’t mind me sending additional material that you should enjoy. This comes from a completed eighty-three thousand word comic novel for youthful readers called Save Al...

Dear Susanna: I have recently completed a hundred thousand word novel called Don’t Get Mad, Get Steven. It is a blackly comic tale about the lengths to which love can lead us. Tula Donaldson inadvertently learns that her partner, Steven Perkins, has made a joyous hobby of one-night stands. Consumed with fury, she settles on a bizarre and extraordinary revenge and pursues it with single-minded intensity. The condemned man gets to eat a H.R.T. breakfast as Steven is unwittingly fed a cour...

Poetry / WENSARA AMORATE
It is a very nice peice which neatly evokes the classics. My only criticism is it is a tad overlong, but Mr. Tilley is a lucky man to evoke such passonate commitment.

I think this is a compact, nicely observed peice of work with the good lines. I certainly wanted to know what happened next. My question would be: What is it for? Is it a standalone peice? Is it an introduction to a wider story or mystery? (It certainly works as that, I want to know how and why this man came to be in such a position.)What point are you trying to make, or is there none? What are your goals for the story. I'd love to know. Good luck. Gary.
