I’ve always been a romantic in my personal relationships and my poetry writing has been a way for this shy southern boy to express his feelings for the opposite sex. Corny maybe, but from the heart always. I like to add artwork and photos to my poems when I present them to the person they’re written for and I have some of them posted on http://hometown.aol.com/blueearl2u/myhomepage/poetry.html.
I hope you enjoy them!

My words are here to share with you,
My warm and fuzzy point of view,
I wrote them all to bare my heart,
To lovers who have played part.

I once met a butterfly, She fluttered in from an eastern sky, I loved her colors, wings and things, Her voice it sounded like it sings, I saw her smile most oft we met, I even shared her bed and yet, I wonder where has she gone to be? Or was she really not there with me? For what seems to be is often not, Though I know our time won't be forgot. Blue Earl

"The Train" There was once a train, that passed in the night, It stopped for a while, then went out of sight. The question I had, was should I hop on, I had to think fast, before it was gone. I stood there in wonder, then stuck out my hand, I grabbed for the rail, to see where I'd land. I don't always know, where this life is going, I'm ready to see more, the train whistle's blowing! There wasn't a sign, for where it was bound, Destination unknown, as yet to be found! Life's kind of funny, it...

Leaves me wondering was this your story or that of a close friend. It sounds like you knew the person you wrote about intimately.

You words were so discriptive I felt a cold chill up and down my heart. I hope someone nice brings you a hot cup of cocoa soon! - Blue Earl
