"Somniferous whisperings of scarlet fields Sleep calling me, in my dreams I wander." Over verdant lawns, crawling onwards Beneath the curves of blue and grey. Sun and Moon descending, hollow spheres I experience the dawning of a new age. "My reality is abondoned I traverse afar Not a care if I never wake... "

Sat in the haze of the deepening sunset, Calling out the Old God’s names, scanning the verge of ancient beech, we seek you out of hiding. Walking round as the day exhales, kissed by the soft sage smoke. Could this be a memory? Has your trace disappeared? Although this particular genre isn't my usual read, I must say that this held my interest. I felt compelled to read on after starting and felt that the drama involved was quite a realistic representation of human behaviour in some circumstances. Amazing, really amazing poem. That was the closest thing to perfect i've seen when describing the feelings, responses and perspective of being on stage. My favourite part of it was: "dreams misting upon my lips and vibrating into a whisper I pour from my lips my life and it is sweet, it is bitter it is a dark comedy of epic proportions" That was so vivid and truely beautiful. Well done for a great poem.
That was beautiful. I really enjoyed this poem alot. It made me think of Percy Bysshe Shelly and his works, romantic and pure. Absolutely brilliant poem here. Will be watching for future poems submitted. Ash :)
