I was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 14, 1980. In most aspects, my life truly began (career wise) at the age of 2 when I began playing the classical guitar under the tutelage of Michael Dailey – who in return was a musician for a band that periodically opened for The Grateful Dead. When I began to write songs at the age of four, I learned rather quickly that I had huge aspirations for writing in general, and by the age of six I had published my first short story. Time went on, and by the age of ten I had found a new ambition – art. I became a professional artist at the age of thirteen after selling my first piece at a Dallas, Texas art show promoting young artists. Though eventually art became little more than a hobby, music an…

He heard a voice and it called out to him and asked, “Who shall I send? And who will go before us?” And the lone man cried, “Here am I, send me.” # New Dawn is the beginning as well as the end. It is the story of paths not taken, and those sheltered. A story of a child birthed from the legends of Legiferum ab Hanum, and the spirit of beings who fought for the existence for all. But this is not the story that is here to be told today. It is the story of those that live among us, those that ar...

I absolutely respect this genre, however I had a hard time getting through this particular piece. I understand that this was a novel treatment, and for that reason I want get into vagueness of the theme/plot of the story, as well as more details on the character. I thought the chapter was very, very vague as it didnt't provide any information on who or what is the curse, what is a rogue, what is a hunter, and what is the wasteland. Nor was there any distinct character development concerning E...

Very nice novel treatment. The dialogue, I thought, was just very well written. Each line flowed easily, and allowed the reader to picture (clearly) what was taking place. The descriptions of the characters and their abilities was well done. I was able to actually picture each individual while allowing my mind to remain imaginative. The twins humor and slight sarcasm reminds me a lot of the twins in the Matrix trilogy. However, the twins in the Matrix were less talkative, but the humor was st...
Short Story / New Beginings
Interesting story and concept. The theory about writing is that we should always write what we know. In this instance, you have done just that. You are using the life story (ongoing or past) of a friend to generate an idea. And I think that you are on the right track in that respect. I would like to actually READ a short story version of this. This was more of a concept that you have here for a short story. I think people, including myself, would get a better picture of where you are going a...
Novel Treatments / The Application of Chemistry
This was an okay story. I had some problems and dislikes with it though. One, the dialogue (to me) is rather cheesy. Phil and Laura’s dialogue just didn’t seem very realistic. More specifically the dialogue in Chapter 4. Examples include: When Phil first awakens and though the description indicates his surprise, the dialogue doesn’t support his non-verbal actions. The first question out of his mouth to the terrorist was… “So what is this ‘operation,’ anyway?â Realistically speaking, I don’t t...
