It seemed an eternity after Iris left, though I had no concept of time. I was numb, and quietly furious. I decided to take a long stroll with my new found self, now that I remembered who I was. I walked down to Market St. and made a left toward the Ferry Building on the waterfront as a new sprinkle of rain coming down to soothe my skin. I began to remember Iris but the words “eight or nine years” echoed through my head. Did she actually say wife?? Last I recalled Iris and I had just barely m...

Hollow sounds like drums where pounding. Lights everywhere. Blurs of electric blues and sounds of raging waters. Unintelligible whispers of unnaturally deep and high voices louder than an amplified phonograph. Heat and cold froze my burning skin. Waves of despair would wash clean an immense joy and then quickly recede like waves uncovering renewed bliss, to only be washed away again in rhythm by a horrible sorrow. It was so fast that my faces reactions could not catch up and it was rendered ...

Episode II: Salutation She looked and smiled, lips pouty and partly open, colored a bright red and her deep set doe eyes struck the fear from me and filled me with breathless wonder, piercing me with a vibrant blue. "Ah.. no.. I, uh.." I looked at her distantly shocked from the previous image and stunned with the current beauty. I hadn't truly seen her before but my imagination could not have touched upon the reality of the wonder before me. I closed my eyes for two seconds and decided that ...

I seek not love for its embrace, but to bury hurt and anger within its thin facade. I seek not death, for I'll only die alone and I have lost. I seek not life, for it provides anger, sorrow and strife. I only seek comfort, to release the dogs of war within into oblivion. I seek you my maker, to undo the mistakes I have made. I seek sleep and its dice, to roll the gears of joy or despair in its blanket of illusions. I seek answers, to unknown questions in a desert of water. I seek.......

Goodnight sleep, I have left you far behind. Hello sorrow, I have found you as my eternal road. I awaken the morning with my silent cries of unwelcome solace.

Quite an interesting subject, God fulfilling His wishes directly through a mortal man. So anciently biblical. I do like the humorous spin and I can easily imagine the actors taking their places and hitting their cues. I don't often read stage plays or scripts so I don't know quite what to expect so I have no constructive criticism for you. But its enjoyable and I hope that helps. Unfortunately I haven't read your first part but I will definitely look for it.

I liked this, it concise to the point with good rhythm. I assume you referred to the dove as a symbol of peace? The subject has been jaded and has grown calloused I take it and she does not require anothers issues as she has her own to deal with and has grown distrustful of love and only seeks freedom. Good work, I cant think of anything to change, simple yet effective.

I actually liked this work, I can sense perhaps the religious hypocrisy with in one of the subjects in your poetry, which I took to be the female counterpart. In my interpretation she had called on her religious beliefs as her right to self righteousness in a false way as I gathered from "Perhaps your chivalric suitors may interpret the granite, for surely you can not." I understood that she did not seem to be able to interpret the ten commandments, that she came to either you or another as t...

I see the reference, if I'm not mistaken, to the movie, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and Vegas in general. Some of the imagery is very strong which is appreciable. But I do wonder that if this is entitled the 6th Reich then what were the 4th and 5th? The content itself seemed vague as to what you had attempted to accomplish in terms of what emotional response you wished to evoke from the reader. I thought much of the movie while reading this, which some readers may have not liked in the f...
