For the past year I have written a poem a day; a mandate I gave myself so as to build a collection which might ultimately be used to create a “coffee table book”.  Some of my work might be considered metaphysical but mostly it’s a glimpse into me.  I think out loud, in colour, and often without boundaries.  Just as an actor requires a stage, a poet also needs an audience.   So here I am….

Mirror Your eyes ~ they cast a spell on me ~ A story lived and a tale yet to be told Unsung hero Champion to me The moon creates your silhouette and the sun may paint your shadow But it is I who becomes your mirror; specular of your soul Gaze upon me and capture the rainbow of love Marvel at the prism of promise It is yours because you have given it to me

Reveal Oh how we struggle to define our existence Tip toeing over fault lines Running from the oppression of self doubt Our vital gifts beaten down by self betrayal wrapped in tearful tissues tempered by the preponderant eyes of others Epicenter of our soul Yearning for emancipation Aching for a soft place to land Pillow of peace As we triumph over questions of worth and swing open the doors of our mind bathe in faith bask in determination Definition emerges Authenticity arises Shaping Moldin...

Poetry / Together Forever
Oh, how sad (or so I thought). I could feel the pain of people coming and going in our lives - sometimes only faces remaining. And then you leave little ambiguity in your closing stanza that "together forever" may not have been the best choice. Poetry, for me, is a tool to invoke emotion so with that being MY measurement of the success, you achieved the goal.

I could really feel the pull of gambling – the evil and the Devils Creation as you refer to it. I could feel the pull, the high, and the low so for whatever it’s worth you painted a painful picture for me. It worked for me.
Poetry / The Lost Muse
The rhythm was wonderful but I stumbled when I got to requiem – just didn’t seem to fit the beautiful flow you had created. How about serene? Just a thought…. Anyway the poem is nicely crafted. We all have to look for our muse sometimes, don’t we?

Interesting tale of a childhood moment when "play" took a turn into "Confused, yet longing, for feelings I know not of." It reads well; a nice flow and your story as well as a bit of shame comes through.
