I’ve got a lot to learn, but I gotta start somewhere. I generally write about my life because everyone tells me to “keep it real” whatever that means.

The Radio Two kids, a boy and a girl, are lying on a living room floor by a broken radio. The boy is bored and the girl is sleeping. He realizes the radio is broken and gets up to attempt to fix it by smacking it. Joey: Lousy piece of shit. He stops trying to fix it, and Dee Dee wakes up. Dee Dee: (still half asleep) turn it back on. Joey: It’s broken. Dee Dee: Whatever, it just plays the same shit over and over. Joey: There’s never anything good. Dee Dee: You want me to put on a CD or someth...

My sister’s eyes always watch me She talks to me, but never speaks Weak as I am, she would have been stonger Had she lasted longer My sister’s ears always listen Hear me whistlin’ as I skip down the block Walking beside me, but I am alone She watches over me, but I’m on my own My sister is still here Near to me, but not to them Now and then I think of her But I perfer not to My sister never really was here But it is clear she that she is gone A new dawn has come from her leaving But I’m still...

Once again we sit here In unbroken silence In perfect dark Just waiting My worst enemy Holds my tounge As the my ideas scream to get out I stuggle and squirm And try to break free But he still holds me In a burst of sound and light My ideas break free And slip away I frantically grab at what’s left of my words And try to repair them on the page He laughs Content with my misery Then slips away into the night And there I am Alone in unbroken silence Alone in perfect darkness With nothing but fr...

She was young Not a little girl But not old enough to make her own choices either She was different She didn’t look like the other girls The other girls didn’t like her She was weird Yet strangly fascinating The others wanted to watch her Some grew bored And ridiculed her Still some wanted to talk to her “Speak” they said She did not respond They said “she’s a writer” They gave her some paper And a pen, sat her down And told her to write So here I am Supposed to be this writer When I don’t kn...

Stand up straight. Have some composuer Get away No wait, come closer I'm ashamed of you You make me sick Just do as I say Don't try any tricks Look in the mirror Choke back your tears 'cause the girl who looks back just sits and stares at you just you and nothing can brake through So look in the mirror Hide all your fears 'cause the girl who looks back is standing here she's you yeah, you do what you have to do Go sit in the coner That I'll allow No, don't smash the mirror Oh, you're in it now

Stage Play / For Safekeeping
this play is kind of confusing to read, but i think it can be interpreted on stage. you would have to make the flashbacks more obvious, like with a change in the lights or something because i had trouble figuring out where we were in the story. i also think there's a lot of unesissary symbolism that you could do without like the grapes, the internet, and the neighbor kid all don't make any sense.

This is a good piece of writing. It has that disney feel-good vibe about it without having the cliche of "and then one day I finally understood math and lived happily ever after." My favorite line was "had the charisma of a tax accountant talking in his sleep," that gave me a great visual of this teacher. And I also love how after you have all the feel-good stuff, you add in that little last laugh. Good Job.

I really wish more people listened to your advice. While this does sound like one of those "get fit for life" videos they make kids watch in school these days it's true.
