A Centrifugal Change: Chapter one- All About Me I woke to sirens and lights, some from across the street, but many from inside my head. The dream I had woken from was full of the sirens, filled with the lights. But such was the way of things since the day I was brought into this world, and none of the dreams ever made sense. My small apartment was littered with empty soda cans and candy wrappers, some of which were yet to be eaten. Back in those days things were confusing for me, and my purpo...

Screenplay / The Daft Adventure
Version 1

THE DAFT ADVENTURE SCENE ONE: (Scene opens as the narrator steps out to address the audience/viewer) NARRATOR: We begin out odd little story as we find Camilla the hag (Camilla the Hag enters the scene), Rupert the optimistic elf (Rupert enters right behind Camilla), and Vlad the reluctant vampire (Vlad enters the scene) walking through the forest deep in conversation…and what follows from here on out is most definitely a daft adventure. VLAD: (Angrily) Good lord Camilla, would you please ref...

A City Too Far Gone The city lies deserted and bereft of all Things that used to dwell here Those who once lived here have now moved Off to bigger and better things Happy things Nicer things, But still sometimes sad things. But when we leave our pasts behind We are essentially leaving parts of us, Pieces of who we really are, And elements that make us, The people we are now And who we could’ve always been. Days turn to months in the timeless clock And then months turn to years, But will we al...

Short Story / A Payment

A PAYMENT I flee from the dreaded house, mindful of he who follows in my footsteps. I have managed years and years of happiness, knowing all along that the time would eventually come when my payment must be made. He follows swiftly, a form only glimpsed fleetingly through the shadows surrounding Him. The trees beckon to me with gnarled branches, as if the trees themselves ask for my payment. I defy them, for what must be paid, will be paid to the silent specter in pursuit. He makes no sound a...

Short Story / The Coldness Within
Version 1

The Coldness Within Something stirs in the corner of the room. The shadows, they compress, they fog perceptions, they cling to the walls of the room with cold hands. The occupant in the corner is pitiful in his feeble movements. On the opposite side of the room David stands with arms held limply at his sides, staring at the pitiful man in the corner. David knows what he has done, but does it make the act more bearable? Twirling shadows, creaking floorboards, yet nothing walks and nothing move...

Poetry / silent and sorry
I actually found this a touching poem, if a short one. I think some added content towards the middle would help, but all in all, the effect is achieved
This is mostly a great chapter of a larger story I've become interested in after reading this. You should definitely go forward and continue writing this. The details used during conversations ( “How’d your day go honey?” Sarah asked, not looking away from her screen.), (“How much are you gonna charge for that?” Grant asked keeping his eyes on his book. “Fifty bucks?”) adds a nice element of visualization that most writers tend to look over or forget. An all-around good work of writing.
