I’m an art student in California, majoring in Graphic Design, but I love writing, as well. I’m aiming to improve so that in the long run, I have a chance at getting published. I love reading and books, especially Neil Gaiman, and I work at a bookstore. I’m also completely obsessed with tea. I could go on for hours about that, but I’ll refrain!

“Look, just relax and keep going straight. You can’t get lost on a highway, babe.” Ruth grasped the steering wheel tightly with both hands, squinted, sat up straight, and exhaled deeply. “Okay. Relaxed.” “Alright. Now, can you tell me if you see any signs around with a city name? Anything that might hint at your location?” Ben’s voice floated out from the cupholder, where a phone sat, on speaker. Ruth sucked her cheeks in. “Caramel. I see ...

We’re standing side by side in the crowded tenth-grade biology lab, and I am leaning over the microscope. We’re supposed to be learning about the reproductive organs of the floral kind, but all I can think about is how close Joseph is to me as he leans across the desk and adjusts the slide. “Do you know what to look for?” His voice sends shivers down my neck, like a waterfall of ice down the ladder of my spine. She had set out from the apartment she had shared with a man of particular interest for many years, until interest had suddenly died out. She had left in a flurry, very early; her venus fly trap still remained lonely in the sill of her half-empty room, and, perhaps most importantly, the printed directions she ha...

Quotes / A quiet qoute.
I'm not quite sure what this means. What if what is the most horrid phrase?
I would like more brief characterization. Why is she so relaxed in the midst of a fire? This would be awesome expanded upon, and now that you can, I think you should!
Flash Fiction / Bootie Call
I'm not quite sure what to make of this. I'm guessing the main character, Jeremiah, is probably using something. Something to do with a package and a bet, but I have to admit I don't quite understand it. I do, however, think the characters are interesting. I loved the introduction of Abigail. Also, I think the title is wonderful. The way it fits in with the intro and the package really worked for me.
Flash Fiction / 6 word memoir
An interesting concept. I think I understand it, but there's something about it that is unsettling. I suppose it just seems very pessimistic to me. Not that it's a bad thing, just unusual.
