Beautiful Rose a beautiful rose is piercing my heart. a gift selfishly given it's destruction is an art. blossoms pale and effervescent, part of creations master plan but the simplicity of nature is the duplicity of man. your truths transform to lies, primal hearts become inert. a prize is freely given but with intentions sure to hurt. so stop your fraudulent actions! stop the proding of my heart. soon my spirits will begin to heal it is time for a new start

Longing... What is it? What does it mean? Why does it cause us to be so sad? I am a happy girl...usually. Why do I long for what I seemingly cannot have? I have a history of not trusting men. I have a history of men abusing me and of both men and women alike, abandoning me. So, do I have issues? Hell yes I do. Frozen was this heart of mine, Melted it's become. Now it's in a puddle on the floor Ready to be mopped away. Mopped up with all the messes of the world; Heart thrown out with the dirty water Just because it melted. I'd rather be frozen again.

i see so much of myself in this piece of poetry. you did a very good job capturing the pure emotion one so often feels in times of crisis. I can feel the pain of the piece leaping out. Such raw and heartfelt emotion is hard to capture, so good job.
I enjoyed reading this poem. The images of high school shine through. I enjoyed the third stanza "Regrets they ask me now? /Only a few, only the time I wasted/ Trying to feign a love for you " and the last stanza was unexpected. Overall I thought it was a good write.
This limerick was very amusing. Good work.

I am not a mother myself, but this is very reflective of how my own attitudes and perceptions toward my mother have changed over time. At first I didn't like the second stanza but after rereading it, I realized how true to life it actually was for mothers to be percieved that way by their children. I especially liked the first stanza. This poem was very thought provoking and I liked it because it was Nicely written.
This lively little limerick is very cute and informative at the same time. I like it a lot.
