“Every dog has his day.” That saying has never done much for me. If you think about it, it’s a demeaning saying. You are a pitiful person who really has no influence on this earth, but every once in a while, fate throws you a curveball to further delay the thoughts of swallowing a shotgun blast from really setting in. Warm a few hearts is a bit of a stretch, but i was more than entertained. This was excellent. This story painted an amazing picture to follow. I could almost feel Bill's ache as he trudged his way up that mountain. There was so much detail in this story that nothing seemed to have to conjured up or filled in because everything i could need was there for me. I know you say this still isn't right, but I feel this was amazing, and can't wait to see what it looks like when it is finished.
I really enjoyed this. It didn't go at all where I thought it was going to. Bullies. Water manipulation powers. Unknoweldgable misuse and handling of sed powers. I think this would make a wonderful story for young adults who are looking for a fantasy.
It was very interesting how you claimed exuberence for a mundane day, and then explained why this was so much better than most of anything that cound happen. Or at least, has happened. But no matter the undeniable sadness in the thought, there is a glimmer in the now.
