Reading and writing has been my escape and passion for as long as I can remember. Through books, I have traveled me all over the world, experienced many cultures, met different people and tagged along on adventures beyond my imagination.
I’ve been writing all my life, mostly poetry and short stories in my early teens. Until this site, I’ve shared very little beyond family, a few friends and some teachers.
I accidentally managed to find a few of my pieces published locally; two in college publications not under my name, when helping my daughter get through the poetry section of her English course. She got an A in that class and an invite to read her “work” at an awards banquet, which she didn’t accept. It was a little awkward …

It is a magical dance beginning with slow, subtle movements awakening nerve after nerve. Involuntarily, I am drawn to your body, your fingers, your hands. The pull is so strong, yet so easy and natural. One mirrors the other so erotically, so sensually. Where is this going? What am I doing here? Too close to the fire. Too close to the fear. My eyes want to close. I've felt this before a secret place made with a swinging door. The lure to enter once again so strong. His desire is real but never lasts long. My insides churning; my heart beating quick. Same road. Same questions. Could this be a trick? My head says to run. My heart says to stay. Perhaps it's enough, If only for today.

Simple truth; simply, eloquently and insightfully written. And when we have a different voice, we learn who really cares to take the time to listen. Thank you. Well put, my friend.
