I live in rural Indiana. I have two teen daughter and a wonderful husband who all support me in my writing goals. I am currently attending college courses. I will have my Associates Degree in Communications next summer, and the transfer to a four year college to work toward a Bachelors in Professional Writing. I do have ideas for a novel, but I’ve only had time to work on short stories so far.
I have had a few online publications including. Bewildering Stories, Events Quarterly, Burst, Clever Mag, Southern Ocean Review, to name a few.
I have less time for writing than I’d like, but right now my school work comes first.
I look forward to reading and sharing stories with other on the site.

"No Sis, you can’t do that. You’re gonna get me in trouble again.” Sam shuffled into the kitchen where his mother was talking on the phone while making dinner. He watched as the steam rose from the boiling pots on the stove. The small silver one on the front burner began to slide forward. “Mom!” Sam clinched his eyes shut as he screamed. Sarah covered the phone receiver with her hand. “Sam, can’t you see I’m busy?” “I knew you’d get me in trouble,” Sam whispered out of the corner of his mouth...

It was an accident. The foil on my pudding cup hung on like it was attached with Super Glue. Plus, my fingers were orange and kinda greasy from the Cheetos I ate with my sandwich. But, there was no explaining my situation to a boy everyone calls Gorilla Face. He’d been held back a couple of years, so next to him, I looked like a first grader. Did I forget to mention his wide, flat nose that flared when he was angry, or the way his arms never touched his sides as he swayed through the hallway...

I enjoyed the romance element in the story. Sci-fi stories rarely have romance or at least beautiful ones that show the love one possesses for the other. I think your characters are strong and believable and your setting and imagery are great. I can see the story happening as I read. I enjoyed it and would like to read the first nine chapters.
Action Adventure / Arctic (revision3)
Overall very engaging story. The action moves along smoothly. Great characters, they seem real. Settings and imagery are there too. I can't find much fault with this piece at all. Great Job!
Poetry / Me vis-a-vis Me
I love this. I really don't have any suggestions on improvement. "Nothing more than a vessel for obscure thoughts" Great image and feeling in this line.
Poetry / My Girl
Very beautiful! You've done such a great job showing us the mood, and feeling of the man who loves so deeply, that he can't/won't see any wrong in his girl. Great job!
Poetry / motion
You've got very vivid imagery and good use of extended metaphor. A little dark for me, but overall a great job.
