My name is Cristina Marrero. I am 19 years old, and am the author of the two novel series, The River.
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in September of 1989 and moved to the main land (Florida) when I was only 4 years old. My parents instilled in me a love for the English language which would lead to my love of words.
As a woman of many skills, I enjoy writing, sketching, and music, in addition to having a great love for philosophy, theology, and art. I truly believe that mutual respect, tolerance, and peace are what one should strive for.
A Christian lesbian, I hope to one day become a minister and work with GLBT youth and adults who struggle with their homosexuality and Christianity. You can be both and it is not a sin. M…

This classic love story begins in the Spring of 1892 in a small southern town only a few folks have heard of: Green Springs. It was love at first sight on that early Easter morn when Cristy Anne Hayse and Lisette Haley locked eyes for the first time. From that moment on they knew their destinies would forever be intertwined in the tangled web known as life. "Not one word had been spoken, and yet, the connection achieved by that one magic moment in which our eyes locked spoke volumes more th...

Everyone loves peace, it getting there thats so violent. This statement is so true. I don't like violence and I wish peace could come from understanding. It is amazing how much violance has to come for peace to exist. Even when there is no violance there is unspoken mental violance. Sad notation on our society. If we could all realize that we are one race... the human race... then things would be so much better. I think I reviewed your other piece. I absolutly love this line, and I can't wait...
God! I was captivated from the start! But that ending.... it just felt like... idk anti climactic. the line "Then the pretty fish won't have to." I just felt like it should have been something that flowed more with the overal rythem of the rest of the lyrics. Other then that, my god man, I loved this piece! It just keeped me wanting to read. The fantasticness of the imagry, and the beauty of the use of your words... the subtext written with in each line. This is an amazing song! I would LOVE ...
Haha! YES! I love it! I love the smart assness (if that is a word. lol) of this quote! basically if after you do the nasty you still can tolerate and want to be around each other... you have found your love! Amazing. Never has it been so simply, scientifically, and beautifully put. Many props to you, and just so you know... this made my crappy day a whole lot better! =0D

I love it! For what is art if not the outword expression of the artist. If his expectations have been met, then who are we to judge whether it be art or not. We get so caught up in the technical issues regarding art that we forget what is really about. "My pen, my art, my life." That is what art is. That is what it is all about. It is not to please people, it is to do justice to the artisan's inner art. I absolutly love this quote. GREAT job!
It is funny how you mention the fact you only remember when you are around people. No one is ever truely alone, but I know that feeling. Once you have some kind of acceptance, or your situation changes, being alone becomes a faded haughnting memory. Very nice quote. I like it.
