Becoming a vampire is not as one would expect. A vampire repulses all that is Christian and Catholic. A vampire is repulsed by all things good and pure. This is often true, but not a necessity. It is true that evil is simply a state of mind. An element, suppressive in some, and foremost in many. The mind is its own mystery; certain traits are input into our very being, and others, obtained from life, in out case death. The Vampire Gene, passed, from vampire to human. Injected, like poison int...

~Prologue~ The story here within, begins in the days, many thousands of years ago, where those of nil, or extremely little status rarely had more than a first name, and were treated unspeakably. The creatures considered mythical, existed, and there was ostentatious wealth, but in conjunction with this wealth, there was also indescribable poverty. We trace the blood line of the Arachnid family, back to the young man, John. John was a peasant boy, conceived of a thief and a whore. He despised h...

~Prologue~ I once had a family, Arachnid was our final name. I once had a life. I was once loved. You may wonder, why I say once. Sometimes it’s easier to forget, forget the times you were happy, the time that you were innocent, forget the past. I once lived, long, long ago. I recall a small cottage, with a thatched roof of twigs, two sisters, Mary and Annabelle, a mother, a father, I was happy. My sisters and I often journeyed into the forest; I made a point to forget their names. In those d...

Something powerful, Much deeper, Deeper then the shell, Something cruel, Very hidden, Residing in the soul. It creeps, Its binds, Til' Sanity is no more, The it reaches out and scratches for the door. Then thine, Who houses it, Will release its wraith, Something Strong, Not divine, Almost like a parody, A Parody of the soul. Which ravages, Which devours, All that is entwined. It burns, The heart, And at the soul of thee, A mortal, No power, Does reside in thee. Yet this, Right here, Gives one...

Certainly not bad i must admitt... im still a young writer as well so ill just put in my two cents... well overall i did enjoy this peice of writing but i dont like the style in which you say... "My darling stepmother and father (note the sarcasm) were..." The note the sarcasm bit seems rather informal and perhaps innapropriate for professional writing. i truely love this bit because it's funny, true and defining "I’m not normal because I’m not some stupid collar popper on the football team. ...
This is really good... makes you really sympathize with kate... It's a great story and i really love the way it ends -- "For what it’s worth, even when he leaves me, I won’t leave him." It's almost controversial... keep it up...
Wow.... i really like this... all about missing an opportunity that could have changed out lives... scary to think this could and probably does happen... Love it
