Chapter One Paint Me a Picture of Suspicion             Dan stood in the train depot, waiting to board a light train that would take him to Petersen’s Marina. He was excited to hook up with his uncle for a long expected visit. He carried his black duffle bag at his side. Dan stood five-foot ten inches tall; he was slender and healthy. His long wavy black hair draped over his ears and hugged the nape of his neck. His eyes ...

Open or Closed 4 November 2009 by Steven Hoheneder OPEN The door has always been open Letting in the secrets and wonder of today Where’s the door stop? It’s nowhere around Nothing and no one bound to come through CLOSED The door closes shutting out the experiences I still yet to have Walls built to protect myself From disappointment and heartache Will the door ever open? OPEN The door creaks open Letting a little at a time A new love, a new rhyme Treading through the murky waters ...

Challenges…Steven Hoheneder ©2009 September 8 We face challenges everyday in every way Some run, some stay What’s your stance? How will you dance? Let it go or stand? Changing gears and facing fears Brings new ways to see Crawl out of your shell and show You can rise above and not fall Chorus: Face your challenges Wrap your bands, stand, and go again The one who stays down is never found You can’t change the world in your shell Open up and let your secret tell You&...

Lyrics / High School
It sounds like a good rap song. Personally I don't care for rap. I'll spare you my opinion about it. I don't see very much to change here, maybe except to cut some lines so it's shorter and more easier for the ear to hear. Not every rap song in history has had profanity and it doesn't have to continue with you. Cut that shit out. The lines express your hurt well w/o profanity. That's what rap stars need to do; express more in the lines and less profanity use. If you must use profanity, then y...
Lyrics / Enough is Enough
This is pretty good. It sounds more like a poem than a song, but that's just my thinking. Probably take out a few lines and it'll flow well enough. I'd say your song is pop or alternative; probably alternative like the Plain White T's perhaps. Just my opinion. Just cut a couple of lines and it should flow well (Ex: If you don't give a damn, I'll ignore you with your discouragements; take out with) Just a small example.

This is pretty deep yet quite true in most respects to our species. It's about how we as a people are proud of ourselves, so proud in fact that we don't take criticism/suggestions to heart, and because of that, nothing gets changed/healed/done. Some of us refuse to change our ideals and others suffer. (Unwilling to submit suggestions,we accepted to be told nothing) That's my interpretation. People should read this; I think it will strike a chord with some and hopefully get people to think. Gr...
