He is oblivious Unable to love the woman I have become Day-in Day-out I am a circulation of passion Via the bloodstream of Haitian ancestors Probably he can refresh my skin with his fingers Use his thick serum full of nutrients To elevate the rate of blood flow He looks at me angry He questions the men who follow me Due to my poetry He wants to be the only one I serenade No can do I can’t please just one Hatred is in his eyes He accuses me of cheating behind his back Feels righteous in his m...

He was the clock who held me somewhere between 9 and 12 Between lust, love and the bottomless pit of hope Between public parks we held on to monkey bars Daiquiri became pricey on stoned stairs where we practiced sexual congress He had a bird eye’s view of climax Slugging down soccer nets with syrup Sweet and sticky Erotic fury spelled my femininity My WO-manity magnified by this UN-virgin pathology When sound of mind and body exercised a routine on his trampoline Third degree burn he left be...

UNSEEN DANGER My brothers are flattered that Society remembers the last time We picked cotton with our teeth How easy it was to remove their tartar words with a flossy smile strict orders were given to them to dismember our flesh prejudicedly rightfully based on skin color bath salt drip drops reminders on my locs I’m the loctician who has definition of verses An escapist who converse with the Devil I question him under a cooch tent eyeballing the menagerie he offers to my people with bruised...

I look back not because I need you I glance to make sure you know I’ve been here See, before you stepped into this path you called friendship I was already spitting prophetic verses Had them finger-painted on gardening walls where they glowed Night after night you found me counting fireflies And reading my poems on these walls They were enticing in your eyes I invited you to join me To be my sidekick Listen to the birds dancing with butterflies I made you feel welcomed By offering you dinner...

Behind thin indigo drapes Oxygen-starved breaths witness this climactic stage Where a sultry wind spiral Adding grammatical emphasis to licentious ecstasy Dark land lubricating soft maple earth While ocular snoopy lens witness with envy Sipping contentiously this Java femme and Mandingo warrior A balanced flavor melding inside a balmy space Creating a clematis scene unaware of this intruder Looking intensely, smothering a groan Disturb and excited by this graphic documentation A self-inflicti...

A creative piece of work, I enjoyed especially the lines: My eyes come open, you’re smiling at me I seem to have spoken while having a dream I’m not sure what you heard, but you’re saying, “me too” I’m not sure of the words, but I’m sure that it’s true
You managed to entice the mind with great visual. I really enjoyed this piece and you kept it going and going with smooth flow. I must admit, i want to read more. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness, this is a masterpiece. I couldn't look away and it was a pleasure to read. "Digging his roots deep underground, a petrified forest. Dentures forgotten behind a closed mirror: a little boy still expecting mother, high fructose corn syrup, and 800mg painkillers" The visual in this piece is awesome...great work.
Wow, such a serene piece. Hmmmmmmm, 50 years from now i'll be 85 and still writing :) I hope without arthritis, lol. Great piece I really enjoyed.
I like the flow of this piece and the honesty is felt...we always write when we love, hurt or angry with the world. Always it feels right to write on any occasion, well that works for me. Everyone is different of course. Thanks for sharing.
