I am from darkest Alberta, or Edmonton. I enjoy winter but love summer. No more drugs or alcohol for this kid, but I have lots to share on the subject. Also life, loss and love. I think I’m funny and serious and I actually like most people. Former aspiring actor, cook,car salesman, waiter/bartender, construction labourer, drug dealer…lets just say I have tried and failed. Good news: I am not afraid to fail, or encourage others to try. Love to travel, love my family, enjoy the company of the elderly and cats and dogs. Not everything we do here is art. Hardly a thing I do should even be in the same room as art. I do want to be the best I can be, but at what cost? What is a convention and why does it exist? I am officially at the end of my rope. My mom and dad were nice enough to give me a lot of rope. Almost enough to hang myself with. There is no greater meaning to life except that which you give it. Wow, very descriptive for such a short piece. I hope very much you don't own a sword. Scary, are you okay?
A good story with many details, almost too many. That could just be my preference mind you. It certainly had a hook, what with the mystery. Did want to read to find out what was happening to Kendra. I have the opinion, and it is only opinion, that so much precise and up to date information distracted from the story. It did flesh out Charles but came off a little like advertising.
I liked this story. Good setting, as in I felt like I could see the cabin and the cold. The old women is creepy and the mood was set early on. Godd stuff and I'd like to read more...

Good setting. Clear dialogue. Then what's wrong? I think that this piece is remeniscent of many gang/bad boy stories. Nothing wrong with that, except I could swear I've read or seen this before. Gritty and real, based on a true story. It's good for what it is, but it probably will only capture an audience that allready enjoys this kind of stuff. Maybe that's not such a bad thing...
I guess I want to know why such angst exists in young adults. Why must you melt away into nothingness, diminished into fuck all. Is death preferable to life. What is so horrible. Granted, the poem gets these feelings across, regardless of the source. There really is a sense of being totally alone, or a least misunderstood. Same thing for some people.
