I am a writer / artist from Australia.
Mainly like writing stories, novels for young adults and books for children.  Sci-Fi, Fan, Horror, Mystery/adventure, Alt. History and Urban fantasy peek my interest the most.

I love reading and meeting people with similar interests to me.  Used to be in a local Writers’ Group but the style differences were too much… memoirs and family histories are not really my thing.

Had a few smaller pieces published and co-edited two anthologies of short stories / poems (self published)

Working on a novel for young adults “Foxwood” and a mixed anthology “The Haven Project” basically a bunch of parrallel/overlapping urban fantasy stories from different authors set in the city of Haven.  Just imagine …

Edward the Bear and the Willow Treasures Everyone in the classroom knew Ellie was sick but Miss Hines’ news still came as a terrible surprise. “Ellie has to have an operation and she may not get better.” Sally Jones’ eyes glittered with tears. Tommy Evans, who used to pull Ellie’s hair, looked down at his flapping shoelaces. “That’s not fair.” Miss Hines lifted a battered old teddy bear from a bag. “That’s Edward!” Sally said. “That’s Ellie’s teddy.” “Ellie wanted me to bring Edward to class...

Ribbons: The stream is a ribbon of silver That’s Woven with fine moonlit threads. The stars are like ribbons of tinsel To guide mariners home to their beds. The new dawn fans ribbons of sunlight From horizon into the sky. In the forest ribbons glance downward As the autumn leaves wither and die. The Irish wear ribbons of clover To celebrate yearly, their Saint. The soldier wears ribbons of violence To mark courage and valour and hate. My daughter wears ribbons of satin To tie back her whisper...

The Adventures of Edward the Bear - Best Friends Book 1 – Best Friends 1 Everyone in the classroom knew that Ellie was sick. Even so, Miss Hines news came as a terrible surprise. “Ellie has to have an operation and she might not get better.” 2 Sally Jones began to cry. Tommy Evans, who used to pull Ellie’s hair and flick her with elastics, looked down at his feet and kicked at the carpet. “That’s not fair.” 3 Miss Hines lifted a battered old teddy bear from a bag. “I went to the hospital yest...

Jingle Bloody Bells Tiger! Tiger! Burning bright… Ha! I’m the panther in the night With tigers Blake was surely taken But by Bastet, he was mistaken Panthers are by far superior Than all the old tiger hysteria I stalk the dark on silent paws Contract and flex my razor claws Moon silvered fur’s the only clue That death is lurking close to you Mice and night birds quake in fear When from the shadows I appear I slit my eyes of amber gold Upon your tender flesh they hold Flick back my ears and sn...

CHILDHOOD DREAMS ( Alice lost the key to Wonderland, Wendy can't get back to Never Never Land, Santa's dead and so is Peter Pan And the world is growing dark. Alice breathes a heavy sigh, Wendy sits alone in her room to cry, As all their childhood dreams just die In a life so grey and stark. The Wolf caught up with Red Riding Hood, Superman never really could, Mother Goose thought she understood But her life has turned so cold. The Wolf sits back smiling with delight, Superman finally lost th...

Children's / The Little Green Frog
I honestly think the whole Ausie dialogue scene could be scrapped. I have read this line about twenty times and I still can't work out what it means. Me bedonk-a-donk goes out to her, Mate, but she’s a game one she is. Plus it doesn't rally do anything to push the story forward. Have the conversation but cut the slang. I don't know anyone who speaks like that and I have worked in small country towns as well as cities. Other than that the story is fine. Jeff
I liked this poem - especially as an artist, I love mixing colours. There was only one line I didn't like and that was Wishing for a wonderful Wizardly Magic man! I think it was just a little off putting when reading out loud. It made me stumble and lose the rhythm of the poem. Regards Jeff
Children's / Why I was Late
The narators voice is fine and suitably childlike. The story is also very cute. I'd probably play around with the formatting - double returned between paragraphs etc. Kid's like chunks of text broken up, especially non confident readers. A bit of white space on the page is good. Other than the formatting, I liked this a lot. Jeff
