I’m a songwriter, a singer and a rapper. I was born in the fields of the real Dirty South, North Carolina. I’ve always been inspired by the Civil Rights Movement. The late great Dr. Martin Luther King inspired me with his speeches and I began to write and record something that we call History Hip Hop. I’ve written and recorded many history songs about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Mahatma Gandhi, Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley, Hannibal the Mighty Warrior, Shaka the Zulu Conqueror, The Epic of Bilal, King Tut, Harriet Tubman, The Queen of Sheba just to name a few and like The Late Great Imhotep I’m still building my pyramid step by step.

        History Hip Hop is a very unique way to get all people to memorize their own history. You know what the young people of the world like today. Give us some funky beats and some rhythmic words and we’ll memorize the whole story. My theory is, If you don’t know your history – you don’t know yourself. I’ve been writing History Hip Hop Music for XXXX amount of years now and I’m like a good wine. I’m getting better with my age.

        Dr. Martin Luther King inspired me to do some serious research and write about our most outstanding ancestors. I’ve recorded these stories with well researched words and some very good sounding music. I put their true life story in my songs. He spoke so well he painted a picture in my mind. I turned around and put myself in the picture that he painted. He was a very powerful speaker and a very skillful educator. That is why I was so inspired that I  began to write History Hip Hop Music.
I feel obligated to build a bridge from our ancestors to our young people of this day and time.
