ReaLiTy’s OverRatEd: Treacherous Lineage Prologue A smoldering rusty fog settled thickly over the crumbling valley of stone. It hung heavy on the heated air, outlining jagged spires and tucked away hollows. Its cliffs jutted upwards to a murky violet sky to accept a rain that would most likely never come. That was how it was in the Dusklands. A figure bounded under the cover of the rusty gloom to light upon a spike of stone that rose up from the barren ground. It clung to it briefly...

“What exactly is Reecamon anyway?” This came from Kat who was staring at the large purple creature sitting on her haunches near a tree. The chimaerette was sorting through the assortment of knives and swords she’d taken from the latest band of brigands who’d attempted to rob them. “Dunno.” Terah shrugged. She was eating a whole Fook she had killed and roasted over their small campfire. Occasionally she sprinkled salt or hot sauce on the stringy bird meat. “...But she’s close to a chimaera an...

That time of year that we all behold Gold and rose leaves, many and few Among a myraid of colors Boughs shiver amid cooling winds Fading birdsong still linger See life in twilight As the sunset fades in the autmnal sky By and by a violet night descends With the death of the day Sealing up the light Heralding Winter's coming

Do you hear the cry as the pack goes by? The hengewulves hunting across the hills Hear their howling song, keen and clear Upon the air of a crisp moonlit eve Across dew dusted fields Wavering wails joyous and free Bounding on the flanks of the fleeing deer Now the Howling Hills are lonely and still The hengewulves have left them behind For fear of destruction by mankind

Three weasels are the wind That prowl the chilly night Across a rocky vale that touches the sky Assaulting the unaware Who fall victim to their sickle claws Cutting like blades of icy air One to slice A second to mend And a third to score again

Action Adventure / The Adventures of Jack Cranton
Well, first off you have talent if you come up with a decent read. Need much work before you publish but you already know that. its clear after the first few lines that this is an action/adventure when there are the words 'desert','lawman' and 'gun'.Bang.instant western. Now...i would usually stop reading but you hooked and reeled me in when the bullet gets stopped by 'runes'. Any D&D geek or anime fan worth their weight in pocky knows what a rune means:magic. And you have magic and guns. This...

Hello again. I am here to critique on your latest addition...for some reason your writing keeps drawing me back. Again, since you always put the chapters and their description, i can always recap. You have the odd space here and there i've noticed and for some reason your writing feels more...mechanical than usual.Almost rigid. “Now, Jeremiah Hartford don’t ye start.” Jeremiah frowned and nodded toward Zeke. “Keeping company with the wizard again?” Reorganized like so :“Now, Jeremiah Hartford ...

I haven't been here for a while so I'll need to read any chapters I've missed. Thanks for the recaps. It makes so much eaasier to keep up and move along. Anyway, I think you have clearly established your own distinct writing style. It is noticeably different from other fantasy styles and it is refreshing whiff of new talent. I honestly think you are ready to start publishing your work. I haven't spotted any grammar or sentence errors that trip up the flow of the writing. Everything I am readi...
