I really like the title and how you use it throughout your writting to ground the piece. I would say use more examples, you have a few at the end, your friend going away or never calling grounds the piece, I would say you could use more scenes like that that make the poem more accessible, that is if you wish it to be. I didn't understand "slaves of contradiction, you gave into passion; I gave into strife". That aside, I found the poem engaging, romantic and full of wonderful imagery and poetic language. -Belles

I think you move a little to fast through your story. Ursula, wakes up, has lunch with her mother and then goes back to sleep. You need a transition and exposition about what she did with her day between the time she left her mother and went to bed at what 2? 8? 10?. It is short and fairly well written, I would say give us more! Belles

Your essay is very interesting. It just drops off at the end. I'm not sure if the last sentence was cut off. If you're still writing. It is interesting. You might be able to get it published as an essay, but I think you would have to use more colorful characterization, put us in Chicago. Or since I don't know what your ending is, maybe there is something there that would be a discovery, that would make the piece lift above, "general interest" to specific.
